PolicyTracker Spectrum Database updated with latest awards and new functionality
The latest version of the PolicyTracker Spectrum Database (PSD) has now been made available to our research subscribers.
This update includes fresh data from recent spectrum auctions in Costa Rica, Moldova, Venezuela, and Poland.
In addition, we have made the following improvements:
- Improved functionality for Operators subsheet
The ‘Operators’ subsheet, which tracks spectrum assets for 759 operators globally, has been upgraded. Users can now view the total licensed spectrum held by each operator, with an option to exclude or include mmWave spectrum. This adjustment provides a clearer picture of spectrum holdings by mitigating distortions caused by large mmWave assignments.
Similar functionality has been added to the ‘Countries’ subsheet, which tracks spectrum allocated to mobile in 137 countries.
- New 4.9 GHz column added
A new “4.9 GHz” column has been introduced in both the ‘Countries’ and ‘Operators’ sheets. Users relying on formulas linked to specific column numbers in the PSD may need to update their configurations accordingly.
These changes are enabled by the successful technical overhaul of the PSD carried out earlier this year, which enables us to make continuous technical improvements with ease. This ensures that the PSD remains responsive to user needs and evolving trends.
Subscribers are encouraged to share suggestions for further enhancements to the database. Your input helps refine the PSD and maintain its position as a critical tool for spectrum management professionals. I can be reached at richardhaas(at)policytracker.com.
