Join the 5G Observatory stakeholder workshop this October
Registration is now open for the fifth of this series of workshops with a panel of speakers discussing future needs for 5G in the EU.
This online event will be an opportunity to exchange views on the latest market trends and global developments, with a special focus on the EU Digital Decade Programme.
The workshop will include opening remarks presented by DG CNECT Director Pearse O’Donohue and an overview on the state of 5G deployment and 5G pilot projects in the EU.
The event will culminate in an expert panel discussion on future needs for 5G service deployment monitoring and reporting for policy making. The panel will also address emerging commercial needs to geographically map 5G service availability.
The workshop is open to all stakeholders interested in 5G, including telecom operators and suppliers, national authorities in charge of telecom, spectrum policy and regulation, as well as representatives from the vertical industries (such as transport, logistics, automotive, health, energy, smart factories, media and entertainment) and other organisations considering using 5G for their use cases.
The European 5G Observatory has been monitoring 5G market developments in the EU and beyond since its launch in 2018. Its focus is to monitor the state of play of the 5G network and service deployment in Europe, as well as progress made towards the 5G objectives in the Digital Decade. PolicyTracker is part of the consortium producing the service.
The online workshop takes place on October 26, 2023, from 10.30 to 13.30 CET. The detailed agenda will be available before the event. Further information and registration are available here.
