Book launch: the Cave report 20 years on
The Cave review of Spectrum Management in the UK – published in 2002 – was instrumental in ushering in a new era. It recommended the use of market mechanisms like auctions, trading and incentive pricing which have been widely adopted in many countries.
Professor Cave is one of the contributors to our new book The Debates Shaping Spectrum Policy and the launch event looks back on the influence of the Cave report over the past 20 years.
The speakers include Professor Martin Cave; Raj Sivalingam, who worked on the original report and is now a senior UK civil servant; and Professor Gerard Pogorel of Telecom Paris, who also contributed to the book.
This is a hybrid event, taking place in central London at 5 pm on Thursday May 19th. There will be a short debate followed by refreshments and you can also take part online.
