April training course: an essential overview plus new thinking on auctions
As well as giving a solid grounding in the technical, economic and legal issues, this April our signature course, Understanding Modern Spectrum Management, takes a deeper look at spectrum auctions.
Concern that they may hinder investment has led France to re-refocus its assignment policy on network coverage. At the forefront of this debate is Professor Gerard Pogorel, who will be leading a special session on this issue.
The course, being held in Central London from 20-23 April, will also cover:
- The achievements and imitations of spectrum liberalisation
- Will CBRS fire the starting gun for spectrum sharing?
- Does 5G change the principles of spectrum policy?
- Evidence-based futurology: what use cases are likely to succeed?
The course will bring spectrum newcomers up to speed on policy and technical issues; for experienced practitioners it is a chance to examine the implications of recent developments and look ahead to the future.
Benefits include:
- Insight from world experts including Professors Martin Cave, William Webb and Gerard Pogorel
- A thorough grounding in engineering principles
- An overview of legal issues in spectrum
- Technology trends for the next decade
