Oxford course 16-19 Sept: the essential spectrum policy overview
Making the best use of the airwaves requires a knowledge of several disciplines: from engineering to law and from economics to technology trends. These are all covered in our signature course, Understanding Modern Spectrum Management, held at Oxford University from 16-19 September.
The trainers include internationally recognised experts, such as the renowned authority on the economics of spectrum management, Professor Martin Cave, and Professor William Webb a former chief technologist at UK regulator Ofcom.
As the 5G era approaches, we will consider whether this requires a major policy overhaul. Can spectrum sharing unlock the promise of this new technology? Should we be abandoning spectrum auctions, as some countries have done? These issues will be addressed in the context of wider engineering and policy principles.
It all takes place among the historic charm of Oxford, at Harris Manchester College, part of Britain’s oldest university.
